Object Lock / Immutability - refers to a setting within Impossible Cloud storage that, turned on, ensures to retain all stored files in their original version, rendering them essentially immutable and undeletable. Object Lock is activated for a certain period, either manually or automatically, to a predetermined period. Object Lock is frequently used for cases where legal requirements specify holding data for a certain period and also is an effective counter-measure to ransomware attacks. Impossible Cloud fully supports all common types of Object Lock.
Identity Access Management (IAM) - Impossible Cloud features a widely used IAM framework allowing the creation of multiple users, access keys, sub-users, and groups, and flexibly applying a wide range of policies specifying access rules per bucket, user type, read-only-write-delete rights, etc. to these users.
Triple encryption - Every file gets three-layered default encryption. Files are encrypted in transit, at rest, and server-side. If clients prefer another layer of encryption, they can add client-side encryption.
‍MFA - Every account can enable adaptive MFA further to secure access to your important files and objects and prevent bad actors from compromising your data. Your Administrator account has the ability to enforce this across your Organization or selectively turn it on and off for user accounts. This works with your own authenticator app.
